Fleury Champagne is run by innovators. The vineyard was started in 1894, when Emile Fleury planted the first crop of Pinot Noir, following a phylloxera outbreak.
Then in 1929, a time when economic crisis hurt small winegrowers, Robert Fleury pivoted to become one of the growers of ‘Southern Champagne’. All growers’ Champagne could be seen to come from them.
Current winemaker, Jean-Pierre, took the reins in 1970 and oversaw a conversion to biodynamic farming. These vines from the 1970s grow the grapes which you’ll find in the Champagne they produce today.

The Fleury Champagne estate is located in the southern portion of the Champagne region, in the town of Courteron. The region is formed of clay-limestone hillsides created by the first tributaries of the famous Seine.
