From Rias Baixas in north western Spain, this 100% Albariño shows great tropical fruits characters along with great structural acidity. The best Albariño’s in the world come from this region in Spain and 99% of the wine produced in this area is white.
Pale golden lemon in colour, the wine is crisp, elegant and fresh. A dry white wine which is also very aromatic, packed with flavors of white peach, apricot, melon, pineapple, mango and honeysuckle. Albariño’s have good levels of natural acidity, mineral overtones and is medium bodied.
Camino de Cabras are Marina and Santiago who create the best Galician wines with the best grapes that their Atlantic corner gives them (using Rías Baixas and Valdeorras grapes). Savage Vines also sell their Mencia red wine made from vines planted in Valdeorras DO .
Pair with: Seafood. Grilled garlic and chilli prawns. Baby spinach, green bean, mango, cherry tomato and goats cheese salad.
