Clos Bellane is a small and unique domaine located in the northernmost section of the Southern Rhône, just outside the town of Valréas. In this area, pure limestone slopes are found among the rolling hills, peaking at over 400m of altitude. Talented winemaker Stephane Vedeau purchased Clos Bellane in 2010 and immediately converted the entire property to organic farming. Now they hold their Ecocert certification. During winemaking, extraction is kept to a minimum to allow the terroir to express itself fully, only indigenous yeasts are used for fermentation, and ageing is done in a combination of tank, concrete, and large older barrels. The result is a lineup of wines with an outstanding delicacy, freshness and vibrancy.

Clos Bellane Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge is bright with intense purplish reflections. The nose of Clos Bellane Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge evokes graphite, wild blackcurrant and elderberry with a touch of green pepper. In the mouth, the Clos Bellane Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge possesses velvety tannins give an additional dimension. The structure of Clos Bellane Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge is pleasant, ending on a finely distinguished fruity note.
Pair with: very versatile, will go well any type of red or white meat, grilled, roasted, braised or stewed.
