Winemaker Daniel Haegi began making wine in 1985 and is the 3rd generation Haegi to make wines on this tiny farm in Mittelbergheim, Alsace. Production is very small, less than 6,000 cases per year in total. Grapes are organically grown with a great respect to native and traditional methods.
This 100% Riesling comes from a single vineyard. The fruit is handpicked and yielded only 500 cases. This cuvee was named after winemaker Daniel Haegi’s oldest daughter Aurore. The style is the classic Alsatian dry Riesling. This wine is delicately fruity, of a nice well balanced structure with floral nuances.
Pair with: with fish and choucroute and all the regional specialties, such as baekeofe or onion pie.
We also sell Haegi’s Cremant D’Alsace Brut, Cremant D’Alsace Rose, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir.
