Galilea Pythagora was created in Montsant following the meeting of a young wine lover, Fiona Fischer, and the famous oenologist René Barbier (pioneer in the region of Priorat and Montsant and owner of Clos Mogador). More than the love of wine and the terroir, it is a vision and common set of values that brings them together: Honor the strong heritage of the region in order to produce authentic wines with a modern approach. Galilea by Fiona wines are produced with traditional methods of viticulture and vinification in full respect of its environment (non-certified organic, without any additives or chemicals). Through wine making excellence, Fiona wants to tell you the story of Montsant.
The vineyards, spread along the mountain massif, benefit from a breathtaking landscape. They are surrounded by nature, sheltered by rocky outcrops, forests and olive groves. Galilea wines are made with care, patience and in complete harmony with nature.
Ageing: in oak barrels for a period of 18 months, second ageing in bottles for 6 months.
Total Production: 6’900 bottles annually.
