Viña Ijalba look to preserve the rich history of Rioja. Revitalising vineyards and grape varieties which could previously have been lost. This dedication to tradition leads to something very unique. In their own words, “The nature and uniqueness of our wines is a result of the individual terroir of our vineyards, ecological viticulture and the use of traditional Spanish grape varieties which contribute to a very personal style.” Viña Ijalba Varietales – Rioja Maturana Blanca ’19 is the first wine solely made from the native Maturana Blanca grape, which has been growing in Rioja since the early 1600’s. This single-varietal wine is long overdue as the grape is typically used for white wine blends. It has produced wonderful mineral notes, alongside roasted and ripe peach and tropical fruit. Finally, a slight and subtle taste of fresh, flaky pastry as a result of the wine spending 3 months on fine lees. Expect a long finish which is both elegant and complex. Let’s hope for much more Maturana Blanca in the future! Pair with: Tagliatelle with Hazelnut Pesto This is a standard 75cl bottle of certified organic white wine which contains alcohol. Yes. Select the bottle of wine you want to send as a gift and then on the checkout page mark the order as a gift. Once you do this a text box will appear where you can enter in your gift message. Note we do not include any pricing information with the delivery of the wine so the recipient will not know how much the bottle of wine gift cost.

Discounts prices are available to all active subscribers and wine club members. Simply purchase a monthly wine subscription or join the wine club and the discounted prices are applied automatically to all future orders.

In the monthly wine subscription, you receive a monthly delivery of wines curated by our sommeliers, based on the type preference you select (red wine, white wine or both). This helps subscribers to discover new styles and varieties, which you wouldn’t normally come across or buy. Wine club members pay a selected amount into their wine club account every month. We don’t deliver any wine to them until they place an order for the specific wines they chose using their account balance. In short, the subscription product is for wine drinkers wanting to discover new wines and are happy for us to chose for them where the wine club is for those who know what they like and want to have control over which wines they receive. Both monthly subscriber and wine club members receive discounted prices on all orders.

We endeavour to source wines from small family-operated vineyards, who are either certified organic, bio-dynamic, or working towards this. All certified organic wines will be labelled as such, in our online store. Currently, 85% of the wines we sell are certified organic so there plenty to choose from. If you head to the menu on the website select Wine Method / Organic Wine and that will show you all the wine in our shop which is certified organic.

There are multiple options for delivery. The cheapest option is our 3 working day delivery service which is £4.95. DPD is our preferred delivery partner who will provide you with a live tracking link and delivery window once the item/s have been collected from our warehouse. Returns
Savage Vines has a 30 day returns policy. If you are unhappy with an item or have changed your mind you are able to return the product to us and we will offer a substitution or process a full refund. Please email us [email protected] or call 0204 501 8436 and we will be happy to help.
