  • Prep & Cooking Times – 15mins
  • Serves – 3 People
  • Level – Easy
Ingredients
  • 250g Camembert
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic
  • 45g of Red Fruit Jam
  • 1 tsp of chilli flakes (more or less depending on how spicy you like it)
  • 1 tsp dried herbs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small baguette
Method
  • Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees centigrade. This is the optimum temperature for a great baked camembert.

  • Step 2

Score the top of the camembert. Then, evenly insert the garlic into the holes.

  • Step 3

Sprinkle with chilli flakes and dried herbs, we think rosemary works particularly well. Then, brush with olive oil.

  • Step 4

Slice the baguette into circles and brush with olive oil.

  • Step 5

Secure the camembert with tin foil, then place it onto a baking tray, with the slices of baguette around the camembert.

  • Step 6

Place the camembert and baguette in the oven for 12 minutes. This is the crucial step. You want to bake the camembert until it is good and gooey. However, if you over-bake the cheese, it will begin to harden up again and become lumpy. Lumpy baked camembert is no good, so keep an eye on it.

  • Step 7

    7. Get the jam into a ramekin and serve with the baked camembert and bread fresh out of the oven.
