French 75 Cocktail

Since the early 1900’s French 75 cocktails have been making regular appearances at weddings, birthdays, New Years eve celebrations and Friday night work drinks! Named after the French 75mm howitzer gun, its a firm favourite for Champagne and Gin drinkers alike.
  • Preparation – 5mins
  • Serves – 1 Person
  • Level – Easy
  • 30ml of Bombay Sapphire Gin
  • 30ml of lemon juice (freshly squeezed is recommended)
  • 15ml of sugar syrup
  • 75ml of Champagne (You can use Cremant if you want to save a bit of money)
  • Glace cherry to garnish (Optional)
  • Step 1

    Combine the Gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker with 3 cubes of ice

  • Step 2

    Shake the cocktail shaker vigorously for 15 seconds

  • Step 3

    Strain the contents into a champagne glass (A Champagne Flute is recommended)

  • Step 4

    Top up the glass with Champagne

  • Step 5

    Place a Glace cherry into the Champagne flute to garnish (Optional)
