  • 1 Head of Red Cabbage
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Golden Syrup
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 3 Cloves of Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 35g Chopped Parsley
Method
  • Step 1

    Let’s Learn How To Make Red Cabbage Steaks. A delicious and nutritious treat that’ll go down a treat with a glass of wine. Red cabbage is rich in polyphenols. These are the same heart-healthy friends that are found in red wine. So, something delicious and healthy this way comes.

    First, preheat your oven to 200 degrees celsius.

  • Step 2

    Slice the ends of your cabbage and slice it in half lengthwise. Then, slice into 2cm steaks.

  • Step 3

    Combine the remaining ingredients, (except the parsley), in a bowl. Then, dip the steaks into the marinade.

  • Step 4

    Place the steaks onto a preheated baking sheet and brush the remaining marinade on top. Make sure you don’t overcrowd the tray, (use two if you have to).

  • Step 5

    Roast the cabbage for 25-30 minutes until it begins to brown and crisp up.

  • Step 6

    Sprinkle the parsley over the roasted cabbage and serve.
