Pisco Sour Cocktail

Pisco is a grape-distilled spirit, famous throughout South America. In Chile, it combines Torrontès, Muscat of Alexcandria and Pedro Ximénez grape varieties, distilled with water from the Andes Mountains. This particular drink came through an Expat American bartender who used it in place of whiskey, in the always classic Whiskey Sour. Let’s take a look at how to make this frothy glass of fun below.

Ingredients
  • You’ll need a cocktail shaker, strainer, shot measure and a tablespoon.
  • 100 ml Pisco
  • 50 ml of fresh lime juice
  • 25 ml of simple syrup
  • 1 large egg white
  • Angostura Bitters
Method
  • Step 1

    Combine the Pisco, lime juice, simple syrup and egg white into a cocktail shaker, then dry shake.

  • Step 2

    Add ice and shake again until the cocktail shaker is cold through.

  • Step 3

    Strain into a rocks glass and garnish with a few drops of Angostura Bitters. There you have it – a delicious Pisco Sour.
