Kuentz-Bas was founded in 1795 and is located in Husseren-les-Châteaux, the highest village on the Alsatian wine road.

Kuentz-Bas is situated on the foothills of the Trois Châteaux of Eguisheim, about 8 km south of Colmar. This is a small family run vineyard which has 10ha under vine, all farmed under certified organic and biodynamic specifications since the 2008 vintage.

The Alsace wine region is located on the border of northeastern France, not far from the German wine region Rheinhessen.

The Alsace wine region is known for producing high quality french RieslingPinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. For red wine drinkers they also make good value Pinot Noir. Then, sparkling wine fans will be sure to enjoy Crémant d’Alsace.
