The Best Wine Tastings In Barcelona | Visit Barcelona
Barcelona is a fantastic city that you can explore any time of year. It’s great in summer, but equally as good if you want to get away for a winter city break. Amongst all the culture, sports and beaches there’s so many opportunities to go wine tasting when you visit Barcelona! It’s rife with wine experiences. With this in mind, we thought that we would seek out the best wine tastings in Barcelona. Let’s look at what this city has to offer!
Wine Tasting Barcelona: The Best Wine Pairing Experiences
Vivinos

Ok, when you’re doing wine tastings in Barcelona, you simply have to go to Vivinos. This wine shop offers such an extensive range of tasting experiences and literally has a wine for everyone’s taste and budget.
If you’re on a bit of a budget (time and financially) then we suggest their three wines and snacks tasting. This will take just under an hour, give you an introduction to wine regions, tastes and differences whilst exploring the basics in food and wine pairing. Best yet, it’s available daily and only 18 Euros! For such a small price, this tasting will definitely enhance your visit to Barcelona.
However, if you want to go the whole ‘hog’ then we recommend going for the Spanish ham and Cava pairing + tapas lunch. This will last about 90 minutes… 90 minutes of bliss that is. Upon arrival, you will be given snacks and get taken through the production styles and curiosities of both Cava and Spanish meats. After your tasting, you will be escorted to their partner restaurant a few doors down to have a traditional Catalan tapas experience. For 65 Euros we think that this is amazing value.
After you’ve finished your wine tasting in the heart of Barcelona, why not take a stroll over to Bodega Maestrazgo. It’s one of our favourite bars, and we featured it in our top five wine bars of Barcelona piece. That’ll give you even more wine tastings in Barcelona.

Can Canyes

Can Canyes is next on our list of wine tastings in Barcelona. Can Canyes is the delicatessen and tasting room that neighbours a lovely wine shop called Isaw. If you’re into your wine and want a fully immersive experience then this is the place for you.
The wine tastings by Can Canyes are displayed in their handy calendar format on their website and in true European style, very little information is given on what to expect. Normally, they give the theme, the cost and how many samples you receive. This is the kind of no-nonsense tasting that we like! In particular, we are looking forward to their upcoming Vermouth evening!
The evenings are held by an array of people, ranging from guest speakers or staff from Can Canyes. With this in mind, prices do range, however expect to pay between 25 and 60 euros for a tasting, depending on the circumstance. If you visit Barcelona and are looking for an authentic wine tasting experience then this is the one for you.
If you decide to go to Can Canyes, then you might want to hop over to Viblioteca. It’s a short taxi ride away and is one of our favourite wine bars in Barcelona as it also offers great wine tastings in Barcelona. This takes the form of wine flights and small plates.
